My time in Marion County stretches over a few visits but most of my time there took place mid to late January of 2025. Here’s the thing about this project, if time allowed, I would return to each of these places every season of the year. However, I am a bit partial to winter… I know surprises me too…but winter offers the optimal opportunity to really explore these spaces in a way that summer foliage, heat and insects prevents. From the amazing views of Cordova Parks tower to an intimate pond hideaway to the intrigue of Wilcox’s mining history, I found myself completely smitten with Marion County.
