Aaahhh…Spring!! Finally…an escape from stale air and reruns. Don’t get me wrong for a while I do enjoy the coziness of winter nights and curling up with my favorite blanket and reading good books or binge-watching Gilmore Girls but it’s only a matter of time before I begin to miss blue skies and long walks.

Last weekend we got out with some friends and took a hike that turned into a warrior workout, for me anyway. I was exhausted but it was that bone-tired kind that somehow feels amazing. I had planned to take pictures but only ended up with a handful, still I didn’t really care. I was just nice to get out with friends and enjoy the surroundings. I look forward to many other opportunities to capture places and experiences and am learning that taking good photos means sometimes you have to put the camera down and really take in the world around you. Looking through a tiny lens constantly means you might be missing out on the bigger picture.
